The apartment of Del Borgo Camelia lies in a quiet location in Poggy, which can be reached via Imperia (Porto Maurizio) within few minutes by car. Porto Maurizio offers well-kept beaches and many different kinds of restaurants offering enticing Ligurian specialities. The access road to the house passes through an electric gate, which is the only entrance to the enclosed estate, and there is a private car park. The house offers ample room for six people. It comprises a modern kitchen, dining area, comfortable sofa bed and a large plasma TV display; it has two bedrooms on the upper floor, which due to its woden construction is particularly cosy and inviting: one with twin beds and the other with a double bed, as well as two bathrooms, the lower with washing machine and the upper with shower. You can enjoy a great barbecue with the whole family on the terrace, from where you have a beautiful view over the Pino Valley, or enjoy the spectacular sea view from the balcony. You can also buy buns, fruit, vegetables and other specialities in the small alimentari.

Imperia is the fourth largest town in Liguria. It became a municipality in 1923 as a consequence of the union of Oneglia and Porto Maurizio, two towns on the Western Riviera divided by the mouth of the River Impero.

The two nuclei remain distinct despite the administrative merger and extensive property development.

Porto Maurizio was an ally of Genoa from the thirteenth century onwards, while Oneglia, the natural sea outlet of the Impero Valley, was allied with the House of Savoy from 1576. Oneglia's origins as a town date back to mediaeval times. Worth visiting are Palazzo Doria (now completely transformed), which was the birthplace of Andrea Doria, and the church of San Giovanni Battista. Porto Maurizio, which stands on a promontory, began to develop after 1000 AD: the oldest district is called Parasio. The cathedral and the historic buildings are well worth visiting.

Poggi is a small Ligurian town that lies just above Imperia. From nearly every point in Poggi you will find yourself staring at the wonderful vista of the sea and Imperia.
